The story encourages the reader to think about what helps them to wake up happy, and wake helps them to go to sleep when they are tired.

The interactive lift-the-flap pages ask the reader to wake up the characters anyway they can think of. They may choose to wake Jack the rabbit by tickling his tummy, or give Robin a hug to wake him from sleep. Then the reader must think of a way to make each character fall back to sleep, maybe a lullaby or a story, before closing the flaps and moving on with the story.
